Comments

Ranges from the northwest coast of South Africa south to Cape Point. Bass et al. 1986 (Ref. 6577) notes that available spoecimens trawled in southern Africa are tentatively ascribed to O. centrina, but with comparatively shorter interdorsal distance as compared to published figures of North Atlantic specimens. The valid name may be O. shubnikovi (Ref. 27121).
